This 4ft LED T8 Universal Tube is a perfect pick for any commercial or residential setting. We offer plenty of wattages and color temperatures, perfect for any environment.

Universal tubes or known as "Type A+B" or "Hybrid", allows installation whether the ballast is present or not. When the ballast is present these tubes are considered a "Plug and Play" install.

Not all LED tubes work with fluorescent ballast.

Please check with the manufacturer to see if your ballast is compatible.

At some point, the ballast will reach the end of its life. From there you have the option of using the lamp as a direct wire application without having to buy another tube. Consult your electrician on how to proceed replacing sockets and re-wiring the fixture.

Seems to be really nice product for direct wire

I have a 4 tube, 48" big old T12 tube fixture in the kitchen from the early 90's. Remember the oak box with grids fixture - that's the one - but we aren't fashion chasers, so I pulled out the ballast and rewired the "tombstone" connectors on the ends of the tubes direct to the 120VAC power where it comes in to the fixture. Pretty easy to convert. Color is nice and plenty bright. The tubes themselves have a tube side that acts as an aluminum heatsink for the heat the LEDs generate, and a plastic side that diffuses the light from all the LEDs., which looks like a line of light, like if I had replaced the T12 tubes with T8s. But the light is much nicer color than the old "Cool White" fluorescents we are all familiar with. It doesn't make your skin or your veggies look weird colored.
