What is the difference between vapor tight and vapor proof light fixtures?
Both vapor tight and vapor proof are used interchangeably because they are essentially the same and have similar benefits. Be sure to look at the specs of a light to verify it meets the needs for the location it will be installed as well as the required safety standards. That will give the final decision as to is the light is the correct one for where it will be installed.
What are the advantages of installing 4' vapor tight lights over traditional linear fluorescent shop or strip lights?
LED Vapor Tight fixtures last longer, are brighter, are more energy efficient, and do not emit as much heat as traditional fluorescents. Since they are manufactured to withstand harsh elements, they are perfect choice for a variety of commercial applications including warehouses, workshops, parking garages, and gymnasiums.
