The Sylvania Contractor LED high lumen lamp is a self-ballasted mogul base HID replacement lamp. The lamp is easy to install and is ideal for indoor high/low bay lighting and outdoor decorative post top fixtures in walkway lighting applications. The 80W LED lamp is the equivalent to a 175W HID lamp saving you up to 55% in energy costs.
At 100 lumens per watt, this 80W LED retrofit bulb produces 8000 lumens at 4000K color temperature. It provides excellent color rendering of 82 CRI in comparison with traditional high pressure sodium and metal halide lamps. The optical design efficiently directs light output in a 360 degree beam angel with Type V distribution.
This retrofit bulb is rated for open and enclosed fixtures, suitable for indoor and outdoor enclosed applications. It is heat and impact resistant, UV protected, non-yellowing polycarbonate lens. It includes built-in 2.5kV surge protections. A metal tether is included to safely secure the bulb in the fixture.
This retrofit bulb is a Type B (direct wire or ballast bypass) retrofit meaning that the existing ballast of the light fixture must be removed or bypassed for proper operation of the LED retrofit. It is recommended that a licensed electrician install this LED retrofit.
