      Excellent results

I have an old Dazor 2134 fluorescent lamp that began showing its age. Humming and occasional flickering of the lamps. Instead of paying too much money for a new capacitor, and two magnetic ballasts I opted for these T8 - 18" LED's. The only electrical component I reused when rewiring was the switch. Now the Dazor looks the same as before but works 100% better. I am using this lamp as a task lamp (4000K) but I plan on buying softer lamps (3000K) for my office lamp which is another relic of the past. So far everything works as advertised. Very pleased.

      Upgraded vintage drafting lamp

Posted by LED tubes on Apr 8th 2019

Reworked my second vintage Flexo Art Specialty drafting lamp to accept these LED tubes and the new light is amazing, and the silence without the humming transformers that the old fluorescents required is wonderful.

      So far, so good.

Hard to find bulb. One did arrive broken, and they replaced it no questions asked. The broken one still worked, but it was difficult to install and I wasn't really comfortable with it. I do like the light color for under counter kitchen lights.

I purchased these to convert an old fluorescent fixture from the 1970s. It's been only a few weeks, but so far we are very pleased with the results!

I actually had to cancel this order days after the initial purchase. I just wanted to say that the customer service was friendly, helpful, and delightfully efficient. I will order from lightup.com in the future with no hesitation. -Thank you.

Ok but reduced size due to electronics

Posted by John on Oct 28th 2018

The bulb had adequate light output but the ends of the bulb, which provide the voltage adjustment and rectification, use up a significant portion of the lit length. Using direct wire bulbs that are externally rectified would be a better choice, if they can be found. The phosphors used produce a similar wavelength output to the older design bulbs. More modern phosphor design would help reduce the color grays. That is, wood tones and such would be enhanced.
