This 4ft LED T8 Universal Tube is a perfect pick for any commercial or residential setting including super markets, factories, hotels, conference rooms, schools, and offices. Type A+B (Universal) LED Tubes are the easiest to use and can replace fluorescent lamps with no extra parts required for the retrofit. LED Tubes are more energy efficient and longer lasting than fluorescent tubes and contain no hazardous materials!

Type A+B tubes have the ability to operate off of the compatible fluorescent ballast and can also operate off line voltage as long as the fluorescent ballast is bypassed. Installation is plug & play with Type A as long as the fluorescent ballast is compatible otherwise, simply rewire the fixture to bypass the ballast for a Type B installation.

This LED Tube is configured for Double-Ended or Single-Ended Power when used as Type B. See below for more information on Single-End Power vs Double-End power.

This LED tube is DLC V5. rated and may be eligible for additional utility rebates in certain areas. Check out our Rebate Assistant tool to find if this product qualifies for you!

What is the difference between Single Ended vs. Double Ended Power?

    Single Ended

Single Ended Power tubes are LED lamps that have neutral and live pins on the same side.

If the lamp is being installed as a retrofit into a fluorescent fixture, one of the shunted lampholders (or tombstones)on the fluorescent fixture will need to be replaced with a non-shunted lampholder. Shop Non-Shunted Sockets

Single Ended lamps installed by Direct Wire application do not need a ballast. If installing as a retrofit in a fluorescent fixture, the ballast will need to be removed and the lampholder replaced.

    Single Ended

    Double Ended

Doubled Ended Power tubes are LED lamps that have separate live and neutral ends.

These type of tubes can use both Non-Shunted Sockets and Shunted Sockets.

    Double-Ended

I just placed this order, so I have not received the product and I am currently unable to comment on this product. To even leave this comment it forces the buyer to select the number of stars so I was was forced to select 4 instead of a potential 5 stars is I had the item to honestly comment on. Suggestion - maybe ask this question once the item has been received by the buyer so that can comment one way or the other
