Warehouse Lighting

(Showing 0 of 71)

For warehouse owners and operators, having the right lighting can make a major difference in the efficiency of your operations. There are several types of lighting that can be used, including natural lighting, fluorescent lighting, LED lighting and high-intensity discharge (HID) lighting. Natural lighting is the most cost-effective and energy-efficient option, but it is not always available due to geographical location or building design. There are several different LED lighting fixtures that are suited for properly lighting a warehouse space including round UFO high bay fixtures, linear high bay fixtures are great for spaces with high ceilings (greater than 12'). Linear strip lights are great for lighting aisles with lower ceilings (less than 12'). If you want to replace fluorescent tubes in existing highbays, we also have solutions for that!

What are warehouse lights called?

There are several different types of fixtures that are commonly used in warehouses. UFOs High Bays are round fixtures that are designed to install on high ceilings (greater than 12') and project light evenly in a circle below the fixture.  Linear High Bays are rectangular fixtures that like UFOs, are designed for high ceilings but unlike UFOs, spreads light in a linear fashion that is ideal for aisle or row lighting.  Linear Strip Lights or wrap lights could be used in warehouses with lower ceilings (less than 12').

How do you determine lighting for a warehouse?

When determining lighting for a warehouse, the first step is to assess the size and shape of the space. This will help to determine the amount of light needed to adequately illuminate the area. It is also important to consider the task that will take place in the warehouse, as different types of lighting may be needed for different activities. Natural lighting should be taken into account if it is available. If not, then fluorescent, LED, or HID lighting should be used in combination to provide adequate illumination.

What are the Benefits of LED Warehouse Lighting fixtures?

LED lighting is a highly efficient option that provides good visibility and flexibility for warehouses.  If you want to improve the efficiency of your existing lighting system, you can use LED retrofits to replace less-energy-efficient bulbs (such as fluorescent tubes, or high-intensity discharge lamps) in existing fixtures.

LED fixtures require less maintenance than traditional lighting options. Most LED fixtures have integrated LEDs that are built into the fixture housing and last the life of the fixture which is often more than 50,000 operational hours. This means that you will save money not having to replace bulbs or buy replacement bulbs.

How to calculate the amount of warehouse lights needed?

Calculating the amount of warehouse lighting needed is dependent on the size and shape of the space, as well as the tasks that will be taking place in the warehouse. A lighting design tool can be used to calculate the amount of lighting needed for a specific warehouse, taking into account the size and shape of the space, as well as the tasks that will be taking place.
