Description
Sylvania LED T5 High Efficiency Type B 4ft. Linear Tubes: An Easy Fluorescent Replacement with No Ballast Required!
These LED tubes from Sylvania are a great energy saving alternative that replaces traditional fluorescent T5HE tubes by bypassing the existing ballast to operate directly on 120-277V. These T5 LED high efficiency tubes have double ended power that is wired end-to-end and a built-in safety circuit. The LED tubes are available with a CRI of 82 in four different color temperatures including 3000K, 3500K, 4100K, and 5000K.
The beam angle of these LED tubes is 210° and they are also non-dimmable. No ballast is required for operation and the LED tubes are rated to last 50,000 hours. These LED tubes will last thousands of hours longer and boast more energy savings than their fluorescent tube predecessors. The operating temperature range is -4°F/-20°C to 122°F/50°C. These LED tubes also have numerous certifications and listings including: cULus, RoHS, FCC, Lead Free, Mercury Free, and NSF.
Please review the specification sheet for additional specifications and application information not included within this product description. A wiring diagram is also provided. See below for notable specifications of these LED tubes.

FAQ
Q: What are T5 High Efficiency LED Tubes? How do T5 High Efficiency LED tubes differ from standard fluorescent T5 tubes?
A: T5 high efficiency LED tubes are a type of lighting tube that uses fewer watts than standard fluorescent tubes. They have a higher output of light, meaning they can produce the same amount of light as a standard fluorescent tube, but use less energy. T5 high efficiency LED tubes also have a longer lifespan than standard fluorescent T5 tubes, meaning they will last longer and require less maintenance.
Q: Can you put led tube lights in a fluorescent fixture?
A: Yes, LED tubes are designed to fit in the same sockets as traditional fluorescent tubes. However, there are two main types of LED tube lamps available - Type A Ballast Compatible and Type B Ballast Bypass.
Type A Ballast Compatible (also known as plug-and-play) are designed to work with the existing fluorescent ballast in the fixture. It is important to know the specific ballast in the fluorescent fixture and ensure compatibility with the LED Tube BEFORE selecting a Type A tube. Not all Type A LED Tubes work with every fluorescent ballast. Ensuring compatibility is vital to safe installation and operation!
Type B Ballast Bypass (also known as direct wire) requires the fluorescent ballast to be cut out and removed from the circuit before installation. These tubes CANNOT be installed with a fluorescent ballast in place!
Combination Type AB tubes are hybrids which can be installed as plug-and-play or as ballast bypass. It is important to ensure that the ballast is compatible for these tubes if planned to be used with existing fluorescent ballast. Type AB can be used with or without a ballast. It is ultimately the buyer's preference what they want to do. Type A installation uses the LED Tube + Ballast power for more energy consumption compared to Type B installation only uses the raw tube power and is more energy efficient.
Q: What is the lifespan of LED Tubes?
A: LED tubes last 50,000 hours on average compared to an average of 20,000 hours for fluorescent tubes.
